On January 26th and 27th members and friends of the Hampton Street Baptist Church gathered together for a special celebration. The church located on 81 Hampton Street in Auburn is rejoicing in God’s goodness over these past four years.
Saturday was an afternoon of reflection as “A Year in Review” was presented by Amelia Kinney. The many pictures of events and people reminded us of our theme, “Christians under Construction in 2007.” We praise the Lord for the growth & change in His people as well as in the outside appearance of our building! Fellowship was enjoyed around pizza and wings. The evening session was an introduction of goals and our new theme for the Year - “Motivate in 2008.”
Sunday continued our celebration as we met to worship. The special music, “No Good Thing Will He Withhold from Thee”, was a reflection on God’s goodness to those who are willing to walk uprightly. The afternoon meal was a feast of home cooked dishes and desserts. The afternoon service was a time of planning and a business meeting.
We rejoice in what God has accomplished in and through us in 2007. We have a lot to look forward to in 2008 as we begin year number five as Hampton Street Baptist Church!
